As far as dating on the internet. It does not seem to be all that different, then meeting someone at the bar!! Thats kinda what it feels like at times.

I have just started this site myself and have come to the conclusion that most of the people on here are just looking for people to talk to via the internet.... so no I don't think its a good "dating" site but it sure is funny and interesting. The people on here are all different and I really don't know what to expect from any of them. I really like this site and I hope that even if it doesn't bring you a date that you will stick around and make some good friends. That's what I'm doing.

I am on some other "friend" sites...those people are on it for "online friendship"...so i thought a "dating site" (i am new on this and this is my first one) were for a different calibre of people...looking for something else entirely...but i am sorry to say..the men i have met on here seem no different from the other sites i'm on...not that its a bad thing...so in essence..the candy was the same...it was just in a different wrapper!

The whole idea with this and other dating sites is to get to know someone before you feel comfortable enough to meet face to face. Sure, you're going to make friends along the way, it's no different than in the real world.

You really can get to know someone on here. The forum is better than a chatroom I think. Not only can you communicate with people and not have to be onlibe at the same time;you can also go bad and read posts to get a better idea about them. I think for the most part people are alot like who they are in real life on the site and it always seems to come out in the wash.

I think dating sites are a myth. I dont even have 1 single girl within 500 miles of me that is compatable. Im not here to meet a mate and I know that, just having something to do during my borring work day is all. If I want to meet someone I go out.

I suppose I'm in the minority, philosophically, anyway... but I think this is BETTER than the bar as one can learn what people are about on the inside and get a glimpse of the exterior. At the bar, one can see the outside and, if they're lucky, get a glimpse of the inside. This medium seems far better than the bar. Now... all of that said... I've had little success on these sites. Lately, I've been putting up new pics that don't show me as 40lbs heavier... and the traffic appears to be increasing... so maybe my luck is about to change. We'll see. :)
