i think we are all our own person, no one is alike. we learn right from wrong at an early age. But its what life throws at us and how we deal with it that makes us who we are....as you say try write with your left hand or try look with a blind person's eyes or a deaf person's ears....its all different to those who try the change...

Me - I'm a freakin' cockroach when it comes to surviving what life has dealt up...and I still have the spirit to look at the good in most of what and who I see around me. The human spirit is a marvel...hard to explain it's longevity in the face adversity.
Oftentimes, all we have left is hope...it's a crushed and continuously abused spirit that loses their hope, and it's tragic to see it about today.

Well, speaking from a personal perspective, while I've survived so far I can't honestly say I've been at my best...I've just coped as best as I can. I can take very little positive from what's happened...the past has taken far more than what it's given...or can give back.
But, I seem to regain some poise...I can look ahead with an optimists rose coloured specs...only with hopes more modest.

there is a secret that I use to get myself through the worst of times Don't see yourself as a victim of circumstance but see it as a challenge to better yourself and there is always something positive held within the negative just sometimes have to look a lot harder to find that....

awww spartan I too have had my share of heartache and dispapointment. Mine are also emotional and some are physical I dont sleep myself at night either but hope is a big word and although we can never fix all the scars or remove them I believe they make us stronger and better and more aware of others emotions which in itself in this day and age is a big+ Happiness is not something that is given or earned JMO it is a choice you make and choose to be in spite of the bad....and you never give up why? because at the precise time you are ready to give up is the exact time when what you want and need is right in front of you but being so focused on giving up you dont'see it hang in there my friend you just might be surprised....

If you're an ogre, you don't expect to be given the role as Prince Charming. But to me Shrek proved its about intentions and irony...the last thing we expect, as ogres, is to be given the role of Prince Charming, but if, inside, we are a Prince, then even if we avoid it, we will still be forced into that role...

They exist inside the heart. The ugliest, fattest, most hideous woman on the outside may be a pixie waiting for her Peter...(god the puns in that one...teehee), and by inference, it must be assumed, Peter is looking for his Tinkerbell...
