Yes, it is true. Websites likes these are full of people who lie. Now I'm not trying to pick but the stats show that most of the liars are men. They lie about weight and height mostly. A male thing I guess. But most women are telling the truth. This is most, but there can be unique situations.

Why bother lying about yourself, I think that would be very self limiting. What would you do if you met someone you wanted to meet?

lol amen! what you see is what you get. Sometimes people are ashamed of themselves or have low self esteem and boost it by posting fake personas. I know a friend whom I have talked to several times about this that does it all the time. SHe is over weight and often creates fake myspace profiles with girls that are models and five or more years younger than she is. She says that she gets attention from them that she wouldn't normally. I don't think she understands that not only is it fake attention, it's misleading and hurtful to other people. I keep trying to tell her but she just sees it as an ego boost. She falls in love with these guys and they fall in love with her persona and when it comes time to meeting she has a thousand excuses and grandiose stories to get out of it. If that doesn't work, she tells the truth and faces the heartache only to turn around two weeks later and do it again. I don't get it. Dr. Phil I am not lol.
