I saw this on a sign board in front of a church some time ago, but for some reason it has stood the test of time for my memory. "Those who seek God in the eleventh hour usaully die at 10:45"
"Old farts remain old farts without a group of young militants to shake things up!" (I've forgotten who said that, either Malcom x or Stockley Carmicheal, but I can "dig -it"! My "altitude" towards the world in general has always been, as I declared at a "student demonstration" in "68, "Let the World linger on my middle finger!" and it still is.
My favorite one is when I was a kid and I threw my Dad's carkeys down a drain pipe (I don't know why I did it) but to this day I still remember him saying 'OMG WHAT THE HELL...HOW THE HELL...OH HELL!!!'
And theres one that puzzles me to this day; "A bird in the bush is worth two in the hand" The parts that confuse me is, why is there a bird in a bush..shouldn't it be in a tree? And why is one bird worth two? Is it so fat that it can't fly into the affore mentioned tree that it has to hang out in a bush? I just don't get it...
