A woman in Australis is sueing her fertility doctor for an unwanted life.
The woman, who could not get pregnent on her own, went to the fertility doctor telling him she only wanted one child.

The standard procedure for artificial insemination is to fertilize two eggs and implant both. The odds are that one will normally not attach itself and will pass normally.

In this case...the woman carried both children full term. Two healthy babies..and is now sueing the doctor for an unwanted life.

Can you imagine what either of these children will think when they are old enough to understand what their mother is saying?

Which one of them did she want, which one of them is so worthless and horrible that she had to sue the doctor because...they will be scarred forever.

Am I the only one who feels this way? Please let me know.

That is horrible. She will get nothing out of it if it is standard procedure and she signed off on it. She doesnt deserve those blessings to begin with! *M*scold

People have sued for lesser and more outrageous reasons than this...it's sad but some people would sue their own dog if they stood a chance of collecting something! Just ridiculous!

yes, I can imagine how these children will feel. I stated in an earlier thread about not being wanted by my father. I know the feeling, all too well!!

I feel that the woman should have both of these babies removed from her custody. There are too many people in this world who would do anything to have them both.

She could have given one up for adoption, so that a family who really wants a baby and can't have one of their own could have given that child the love that it deserves.

SOunds to me like she's just trying to get money and is doing it at the expense of her childs well-being and mental health!!

Plus beings this woman was taking fertility treatments she should be happy that she was blessed with any children at all.

I don't think legally she has a leg to stand on because of the fact that anytime someone uses alternative treatments to natural conception, the odds of multiples are increased. I would think the clinic would have advised her of this and maybe had her sign a waiver or something.

I don't know but I feel that she shouldn't have any children at all if she's this misguided. She clearly is only doing this to see what she can get.. I say take BOTH the babies away from her, there are thousands of families out there that WANT babies, clearly she has some major issuses.

I am so glad that your prayers were answered. Thank God for your faith! There are few men these days that would go to such lengths for an unborn child.innocent

It's a shame that the men who will have no recourse. I have never felt more utterly helpless, to be mourning the death of my daughter before she was ever born.

There are people who look for any way they can to sue some body. This woman you are talking about, is one of those people. Every one knows, that there is a possibility of more than one child, if you go through this procdure.
That is the trouble with this world. No one cares about how they hurt any one else, even their own children. It's all money, money, money, and how can I get it wiyh out working for it.

That has got to be one of the saddest things I have ever heard. To think about what those children will feel when they are old enough to understand...frustrated barf

I agree, makes your stomach turn.

I am so glad to know that I am not the only one that finds what this woman (if she can be called that) is doing so disturbing

I am studying to be a Paralegal. This is how I found out about this case...it was brought up in class....there were some of the other students that thought she had the right to sue.....jaw drop

I thought I had crossed into the Twilight Zone or something...

Life happens, deal with it.

If you can pay for the operation and carry both to term, you're the one responsible for the decision.

I agree, find someone who will appreciate the twins.
