I have not dressed up for Halloween since I was a teen lol

We are trick or treating this year just like every year. I don't give out candy. Firstly because we are not home and secondly because we live in a secured appt building and no one ever comes here anyway. And that is fine with me lol But I do make small treat bags for my nieces and friend's kids etc...and relatives kids etc...

My sister and I are throwing a big family dinner at her place next weekend and I am going to surprise the kids and her kids with halloween baked goods. Going to get creative and make halloween themed foods. Can't wait!! They will love it.

Oh yes I look forward to it. Being an Elementary school teacher we all get dressed up with the kids. It is a lot of fun. I go looking for my costume months in adavance. I bought this cool Reggae Man inflatable giant head costume. I give my students special treats to my students and usually have hot chocolate on for the adults as we always have snow by Halloween.
Yep I'm counting down the days.

Ahhh ... the big kid comes out in you! I hope that you have a wonderful time.

As for me dressing up, probably not. We did get the babe a halloween costume though and he's going to be a little zebra! We already tried it on him and he looks adorable. When he's all done up I'll post a picture.

Well it's going to be an indoor halloween.
No tick or treating.......someone did something and earned a major punishment.
Guess it'll be scary movies and handing out candy.
sigh
But I'm dressing up anywaylaugh

oh no curly, your daughter must have done something real bad to get that kind of punishment....l have a real hard time with holding groundings with my daughter but then she is a pretty good girl and hasnt had to be grounded once....
but high school is a tough time for them so l am sure she will be grounded at some point in the next 2 years....

I can sympathize with you Jen. I have had to do that with my oldest at christmas one time. He could open his gifts but then had to go to bed. It seems at times that taking away something they really eeeeenjoy, even though it may seem drastic to some, is the only way to teach them. It's like we punish ourselves as well when it's something we enjoy as well. frustrated

yes l see your point and was not saying that you were being to drastic...sorry if it sounded that way....halloween is my favourite time of the year other than xmas, so it would be really hard for me to hold to it....
