There is a Methuselah Tree, only found in North America... in fact, there are only 4. Well, there were......... apparently a scientist doing experiments on one of the trees ended up killing it, so only 3 in existence. It is so called because, believe it or not, it is something like 4,000 years old!!
Despite its longevity throughout whatever this planet and Mother Nature gets thrown at it, it remained tenacious and stead-fast......

good question gilly & a tough one for me
i think the tree i would plant would be an oak tree becuz of their strength & i would call it "UNITY" the hard part would be deciding where. if it were feasable i would like to plant one in every town square around the world.

I once planted over 100 trees in the bare acreage in the back of our land....about a week after I was done planting them, a farmer came and plowed the field
To this day, there is not a tree for the 5 acres.....
no trees for me......sorry........I will plant a flower on the side of the road and call it "sorry"...........
