Having been away for some time and a little bored when I log in lately, I often look back over the past 6 months to see if there are any threads worth resurrecting. In the process, what I have discovered, is how so many people here are contrary and change their viewpoints every five minutes.

I have also seen how some people are villified for certain things yet another person can say virtually the same thing and be inundated with friendly replies in agreement. Why is this? Are people really so inconsistent and forget what they said the week before?

It's amusing too to see strong 'come on's' and declarations of attraction being enacted on the CS stage, only to be superseded by the next person which takes somebody's fancy. Are people really so fickle?

Trawling through old threads and posts is a revealing but disappointing exercise to try.

sigh

dunno

There's both a "gang" mentality and also a politically correct mentality.
I don't really fit into either.

But I do have fun on here :) even being the voice of decent...but then I really don't care what most people think of me.~sigh

Thanks for your response.

I agree there is a 'gang' mentality but that's normal in a large group of people and doesn't bother me either, however, it doesn't really excuse inconsistency of opinion does it?

Oh, I could "slice and dice" the inconsistency....some of that's just the nature of the beast~~ You make an excellent point.

Hello Nuala and thanks for your response too.

I think though you have misunderstood my thread, it's not about posting and not receiving replies, and I'm not new here, I just went away for 6 months.

What I'm trying to say is that when you look back at old posts people swing from one viewpoint to another depending on who they are responding to.

CNN is excellent with it's anti-American propaganda diatribe. If there's anything wrong here, they're great at exploiting it to the umpteenth
degree.

It's probably one reason that even Fox is beating them in the ratings.
The farther "left" they go, the more they drop. Works for me.applause

Everything is fine wih me except I miss my beloved Spain, I'm working in Russia and no social life to speak of hence the return to CS for a while!

Thanks for asking and I hope all is well with you and Jim.

Fox is not a typical news organization. There are first-rate journalists at Fox, committed to accuracy, objectivity and fairness. However, as a network, Fox’s prime commitment is to the triumph of conservative politics, not to a well-informed public. From hiring hosts to selecting stories to framing questions for discussion, Fox demonstrates its dedication to advancing the ideological interests of the right.

Beat me to it, I was going to say the similiar comments about CNN.

What I find on CNN is they'll have 4 guests on one of their segments.
Three are ultra-liberal and one might fall into the moderate category as a representative of the "right". From that, one is to get a balanced perspective. MSNBC does the same thing, only their more left wing.

You raise a good point though. I may contact Fox and ask them who makes up their viewership; although I doubt they'd get into intelligence testing their viewers.

Some people love attention ... saying something that fits others is a priority for these type of people.

They perhaps do not really care what they say before, about being inconsistent , as long as everyone agrees with them.

People are different and this makes life much interesting and amusing. laugh What do you think? conversing

Hello you woman of nature!

Yes of course I agree our differences make for an interesting and amusing life, sometimes! But the inconsistency I'm referring to here is neither interesting nor amusing, it only makes people seem shallow and incapable of honesty.

What do YOU think?

I walk to a slightly different drum, compared to most on here. Think I said it before though. It really doesn't bother me. I'm fairly satisfied with life and even being single. I won't sell my values just to fit into someone else's life. But, that's me~~

i do agree with you .... But what can we do about. That's their nature they were born this way. The main idea to stay honest with ourselves the rest is irrelevant. That's what i think.

I do not know in what part of Russia you are suffering laugh But I do really want you to see real Russia ... Take a Gold Ring tour .... if you will get a chance. hug
