Is anyone here a gambler? I mean do you go to casinos or play the VLT's in the bar? Maybe get together with friends for a poker night?

I like to gamble. Wish I was better at it.

I may try $20 on a VLT machine if I have a few in me but that's it!

I never go to the casino, but it does look tempting!

I've been to the casinos in Vegas, Atlantic City, Niagra Falls and here locally. I'm not much of a gambler but the trips were fun.I rarely go near the VLTs but if I have a few loonies in my pocket I might give it a whirl. I usually cash out if I "win" enough to pay for a drink or two! laugh
I work way too hard to be giving up my hard earned dollars to the Gov that easily.

I don't gamble, never bet on anything, not my style, and I'll give you 3 to 1 odds you can't get me to bet, and I have 20 dollars that says it'll never happen

Sad, but true for some people - it becomes an addiction. A gal over here ended up losing her restaurant feeding the slots. As with a lot of aspects in life, its a matter of "control" and moderation.

A compulsive gambler has no such thing as control or moderation, they have a compulsive obsessive disorder and the only solution is to stay away.scold

While in Vegas, it was fun to watch the people play slots. Certain ones had rituals, good luck items, even watch certain machines etc. It was quite the show.

Have friends that take a certain amount of money and use that for their night at the slots. Her family goes there for new years eve instead of partying. Last summer she won the $10,000. It could not have happened to a nicer person.

Do any of the groups social events take place where a person who only bus's it can get to?
