But how up front and honest do women want men to be?
I am very honest and up front...does that scare women off? I don't sit there and spew my life story all over them, but I do tell them all pertinent info concerning who I am today.
Another question (thanks for the thread Dan...sorry if I hijack it a little). The "bad boy" gets alot of attention from women. Yet they are the ones who are usually very quiet and do not always tell the truth. And alot of women don't care if they are lied to...they keep coming back to the bad boy.
So which is it? Honesty, bad boy, or something in between?

Personally, I feel all women have their own criteria by which they go by and being anyone ( someone else or yourself ) serves no purpose , assuming its someone with a mature attitude we are dealing with.
Most of us are basically looking for someone honest and genuine and can speak his mind without being rude or even creepy. I guess being yourself is the best policy, so as to find someone who is compatible with you.

I totally agree with the not wanting to have your life story strewn around the web for people to read. Definitely, its personal and is better shared in private with someone worthy.
The bad Boy thing is what i have come across .. now.. here.. but i guess all women do not like it.
Not all women are honest either is true to a great extent for many of the same reasons as men and some out of hurt and insecurity.
So, it boils down to what you want from the person and the relationship if there is going to be. But this is my personal opinion.

I think the key of how much to tell is to allow the conversation to flow. Listen, talk, listen.
