It's against the rules as I recall, but personally, if it's in fun and no "evil intent" it shouldn't be a problem. Someone did that to me once... I played along~
IMO...I think there's no better person than yourself to explain this to everyone on here or have you conveniently forgotten all the threads you've made in the past especially on the uk forums with members names in the topic title
How about the thread you made on here with a members name included and also telling her to "p*** off" in the title. Only happened 6 -8 months ago, surely you can't have forgotten already
However, if you have forgotten I'm sure the mods will have all the information stored somewhere. That's if you're suffering from some kind of selected amnesia.... Which it looks as if you must be if you have to make a thread asking a question that you should really know the answer too.
Anyway, afraid I can't help you as I've never ever made a thread with another members name in it (unlike some)
I guess everyone should be sensitive about another's sentiments. Not to say i don't weep and wail .. but just that... lets all treat each other and solve issues the way we want someone else to be with us ...
Am on no one's side but my own.. my personal neutral opinion this is !!
I'd agree that the guy/girl, should have not used your username, but as far i see he/she has apologized in that thread,so the fact you wrote this thread, the words child throwing his toys out of the buggy spring to mind you seem to be attention seeking, you need to grow up as my fellow Irishman said.
IMO......as someone new to the Forum, seeing the threads relating to this post ("Gilly" and "Prince"), it is rather discouraging. As a new member who has been told that the Forum's are a great way to meet new friends, all I am seeing so far is conflict.
Earlier this morning, a member from the Forum sent me a note, welcoming me to the Forums and inviting me to post. I told him that I feel like 'the new kid in school' right now and would most likely post in time. I never thought this would be the thread I first posted to. Perhaps lurking around the boards and a day when the atmosphere isn't so heated would give me a better idea of what this place is like on a 'normal' day? I would love to know that today's posts aren't the norm.
As for my opinion about starting threads about other members....I think it is gossip and will eventually end up with someone getting their feelings hurt, even if it was started to be all in fun, odds are something will get said that gets taken the wrong way.
