Hmmmm, lets see,.....no PC, no World Wide Web,....and lets throw in no cellphone, no DVD, no videoplayer, no CD's, no satellite TV, no calculators, Ipod's, X-Box, microwaves.....

Being the seasoned "time traveller" that I am, I'd slid my butt into the seat of a 71 Cuda ragtop and head it out to the lake! I can actually remember having a LOT of fun back in those "caveman" days before all of the above!

As long as I could still use my puter to make my "computer doodles" I couldn't care less if the net fell off the planet

One of the best years of my life was when I lived in Cadomin, Alberta. No internet, no telephone or cell phone, no TV, a couple of radio stations but quite primitive overall. I loved it!love I did fun stuff like hiking up and down the mountains, hunting aand fishing, off roading, playing pool and drinking at the legion, renovating a 90 year old cabin, collecting firewood and coal for heat, playing cards and drinking coffee until 4 am with the retired folks, snowball fights with the kids in town, going to friends and neighbours placesdrinking and other fun stuff.
One of the few times in my life where there was a real sense of community and genuine care for your neighbours. You don't find that in a big city anymore.
It's a bit sad that the net has at least partially replaced my contact with people in the town where I currently reside.

I'd get a calling card and whip out my 35mm camera coupled with film.............and quick!super

I have many friends and family that do NOT reside near me and so, the pc is useful in keeping in touch with them....

I think that would be the only REAL downfall................

really don't give a rat's behind about the computer...usually on it at work only......the one at home? it collects dust....until I do my housecleaning on Saturdays! reindeer
