Ok, as far as I'm concerned specifications is a technical word and not related to human relationships whatsoever.
If you are thinking about likes/dislikes/preferences/no go areas then of course there are plenty of differing opinions, we are individuals after all.
Control? Never, two people in a loving, respectful and equal relationship shouldn't encounter nor accept any kind of controlling behaviour.
