I'd like to start out by saying that I was raised Christian but have since turned away from blind faith. So I feel that my responses and quesions are valid and educated and not just another athiest blowing hot air. That being said......I found an interesting topic on the web that I thought would be a good discussion.

Christians believe that God answers prayers by healing cancers, curing disease, etc. Here's a simple question......Why won't God heal amputees?

An intelligent person knows for a fact that amputed legs do not regenerate in response to prayer. Amputees get no miracles from God.

-On one hand, Christians believe that God answers prayers and performs miracles.

-On the other hand, God completely ignores amputees when they pray for miracles.

So what makes someone with cancer or another disease more important to an unconditionally loving God than someone who lost a limb?

Christians believe that only PEOPLE have souls. Coldblooded creatures and other animals do not, therefore they don't pray (they have no need).

is this god not powerful enough to by-pass these laws?? once you are dead...you are dead...but to a Christian..God overcame death. The OP was asking why God won't perform a miracle for theses people ...not continue the laws of science

Not all Christians believe that only people have souls.

According to Paul,we use our faults/weaknesses for His glory,not our pity. God didn't give that person a amputated leg or arm. It is the result from being born in a "fallen" world full of thorns,mosquitoes,high gas prices,etc. When I was 18 and was diagnosed with insulin dependent diabetes,it shocked the nurses and doctors that I wasn't devastated. Back in 1982,when I was diagnosed,there wasn't all the conveniences of glucometers,sugar free ice cream,or even "short" needles...It was difficult to be a diabetic back then,but I used my "illness" for His glory by showing all the other patients.doctors,nurses,etc. that a shortcoming was only going to make me a stronger person,not a weaker one. By our weaknesses,we are made strong...

Thaat's not the question. (whether or not a shortcoming makes us stronger or not) The question was, why does God answer prayers and perform miracles for SOME and not for all? According to the Bible, (matthew 7:7) "ask and it will be given to you...your Father who is in heaven gives good things to thos who ask him." and Matthew 7:20 "if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, nothing will be impossible to you." And matthew 21:21 "If youbelieve, you will recieve whatever you ask for in prayer."

Are we then to presume amputees don't believe in god?

good question.
cos the term god is not a person. it's the power of the nature on this universe. that is what we called as the doctrine of the world.
according to the bible there are thrre nobel charactors we can see ......what are they...?
the father
the son
and the holy spirit. so there isn't a one god.

to create living beans and for their existence these three charactors are definitely needed. we can called these charactors in scientifically as basic materials. without them neither living thing nor world.

the father = the nature of hot/fire/warm
the son = the nature of the liquid/fluid
holy spirit -= the nature of the air & space/room etc

if we brake one of these things...what will happen..?

bible is a very nice holy book. there are thousands of valuable things in it. but their real meanings have been covered by fairy tails to make the people civilize and united as a religion. but understanding these stories and sayings in wrong way most of the people make this nice religion a weapon to cut others necks. people have made the religion a war now a days. it is not a problem of the religion. it is the problem of peoples' ignorance of this precious religion. the author of this holy bible created a characor of the god to make the people civilize and control their behaviours using the obligation to this type of powerful charactor.
