Sky pales in patches,
sullen clouds all filled with spit
makes hedges, build a maze
across the vaulted hall soon
to be untenanted by night;
they linger with their sodden load
all set to drench the dawn
and turn the airy candy floss
to steel, with blue a dream
of days gone by, of how
it might have been.
Rain threatens. Wind scythes
its way among the trees
as here and there some hapless
leaves migrate, some birds’ nests
hit the ground, Nature’s eviction plan
weeding out the careless,
making way for those who build
with future on their minds,
strange justice of survival,
of the wild, ensuring that the strongest,
that the best, move on to replicate
themselves in firmer patterns,
bringing purer beauty to the world
than we do with our grasping of the past,
outmoded ways and thoughts
so cherished that we choke the future,
make it weak, uncertain, before
the birth pains start, before
it has a chance to breathe
we let our fears close doors,
build mazes, hedge ourselves about
in craven safety
with our own load to deliver
but we spit fire and burn the world
to ashes far beyond the hope
of rebirth because there is no
careless love and caring in our
purging, just our fear, our blind reaction
to the differences we create and run from,
forgetting Nature shelters us as well
and one shrug of her shoulders
will turn us into hapless leaves,
to scattered birds’ nests broken
on the ground.

Morning Zellarrone, not quite gale force here yet but certainly not the clear and sunny skies the tourists paid for!

It is almost seven a.m. my time and still looks like night outside.

Stay dry and warm my friend!wine

rolling on the floor laughing heck, I was writing this morning's piece of commentary at six! Somewhere along the way I turned into one of those annoying morning people, awake and raring to go before my feet hit the floor.

On side effect is that it gives me more hours to play in!

Good morning BB and Zell - well, the clouds here today are sure giving us their all, at the moment they are spitting a mixture of hailstones and snow at an alarming rate. Thankfully I did my going out stuff yesterday so luckily all I have to do today is as many words as I can muster on the national curriculum - haha, seems I picked a good day for it.

Theres a tree a couple of hundred yards away that has been threatening to fall down for ages - I think today may just be its final glory.

Now, all of a sudden the sky is blue again and you wouldnt know the intensity of the last few mins ever took place laugh looks like we are in for a day of high drama again.

Thankfully its not floods this time Zell grin

Hi Trish wave you're right, better to have gales than the floods again laugh Best laugh was I was cycling home from work and didn't even have to pedal cos the wind was behind me.

I know how a boat feels when it gets blown along with wind in it's sails now laugh

Thanks, and thanks for your own positive comments on that thread of Al's too.

The house I lived in before this one was on the side of a hill, quite high up and the sun was behind from around mid-day onwards - it rains a lot here laugh and there were often incredible rainbows to be seen, often double ones too - that was just a humble little terraced house but I would pay millions to live there again - the best ever rainbow vantage point I ever did experience.

I do find raw nature so awesome.

Zell got caught in the floods earlier last year on her bicycle and I have a very short video of her laughing her head off at her predicament - so funny.

Double rainbows are amazingly exciting to me for some reason, such beauty!

There's a video I would love to seerolling on the floor laughing Years ago I was pulling the emergency shift at our radio station during hurricane david and as the end of the corridor had fixed concrete louvres we could stand in the sodden corridor and the wind would send us aquaplaning to the other end. Loads of fun!

Ah well, time to detach and rejoin the other world I live in.

have a great day ladies!wave hug yay

BTW...Lady B, what are your thoughts on "Nature’s eviction plan" .... Aren't we naughty human beings do not belong to NATURE?

"Nature’s eviction plan
weeding out the careless,
making way for those who build
with future on their minds,
strange justice of survival,
of the wild, ensuring that the strongest,
that the best, move on to replicate
themselves in firmer patterns,

p.s. For EastRayBay!!!! ... sheesh ...do not even think to mention "Mein Kampf" scold it is just a natural question, boy. devil

I don't know how to put it on here either, I can't even put a music video on laugh

I don't mind if you put it on though. But, it's a bit boring, just a load of water and me having a verbal pink fit and also cracked up at the thought of having to get through it to the other side of the road so I could get home laugh

I will look into getting the vid done but cant do it today - i am just about to sign out of here and furiously get some essay words done - or I will be in such trouble professor <- from those guys laugh

I will ask meanwhile about getting the vid on wave
