I mean too late, because you already fell in love and will suffer again, if it comes to separation. How could you change the signals, you probably send out?
Nah....I would hazard a guess that you are choosing them, not they you...in other words, the same mechanisms that make you choose a certain sort of mate, kick into play every time....imho

Does that mean, that you can't take influence in these mechanisms? Can't you try to give another impression to someone? But that would mean, to act against your personality. So personally I should play the pessimistic one, to attract an optimistic person ? Can't imagine that.

When a story comes to an end everyone tends to blame the other half.

Well, I didn't want an advice for me personally, and by the way, if I meet someone, it normally lasts a bit of time, until you realize, that there are similarities to the previous. I don't blame the other half. Just wondered , while reflecting, about this phenomenon.

The few long-term partners I have had have been very different so I don't think this applies to me. However, I do believe that women in particular who have been in abusive relationships often fall headlong into another. This could be because they have been robbed of self esteem and are very fragile which abusers sense and are naturally attracted to.

Well, that may apply to those types of women, but what I'm wondering about, are in comparison little things. Little characteristics, which christallize after a while and reflect the basic view of life.
