On a more serious note...
People get confused between nice guys and just plain boring guys. (boring guys, there are boring girls who will appreciate you)
I think it's human nature to value that which takes some effort to achieve and hold on to.
I appreciate a man who makes me a better me. Someone I know is going to require that I make an effort to be witty, well read, attractive, experimental, open and continue to grow and learn, and I expect the same from my partner.
I think most Bad Boys are just men who need a woman who continues to challenge them when the chase is over.
Of course I'm not referring to the truly vile specimens such as wife beaters, rapists, etc. there is a whole different category for them.
