I must admit that this thread has maybe not completely reflected my goals on a dating site.
I am not looking to be used, abused, cheated on, tossed aside, etc, etc.
Mr. Santagati's definition of a Bad Boy is not a player or a mysogynist. He says that the Bad Boy is just really a misunderstood creature.
Bad Boy: One who is not worried about what women think, but rather what women are. He is not worried with heart break but confident in his conquests. He is confident with an er of cocky but not an overwhelming ego. He is charming, non-confrontational, and above all intrigued by women of every type.

I hope this helps in understanding.
I would say that your man Santagati is acting like something of an apologist with that definition!
'Not worried about heartbreak in his conquests?' I'm sorry, that's a cold, serial womaniser I see described...nothing more.
Empathy should be central to a healthy ego...and it's lacking big time.
wfriars: I should likely be the one who is an apologist.
I should apologize for not being able to correctly convey his words. It really is a good book. I learned an immense amount from it.
Ok...I get you. But would you buy a really attractive, super comfy car that was tempramental and prone to breaking down...veering of the road without warning even?
If it's without any semblence of reliability, it's just not going to fulfill it's purpose - safe, comfortable carriage from A to B.

Makin' any sense?
My idea car would be an older sports car. I'm not looking for comfortable. I am comfortable by myself. I am looking for the ride, the thrill, the challenge. I am looking for adventure, excitement. The kind of car I look at and think I could drive you around the world and back again. A car that fits me!

I totally understand.
You just need to find a nice boy, and bring out the devil in him yourself.
I remember when I was trying to chat up a lass I fancied for a while, she turned to me and said 'look, you're a nice guy but I prefer bad boys'. 2 months later I saw her with a peach of a black eye and a broken nose and one boyfriend on his way to the slammer.
