SINCE WHEN HAS MALTA CHANGED THEIR NATIONAL FLAG TO THE EUROPEAN FLAG.

Malta is part of a union called the European Union, same as every state in the US is part of a union called USA and every state in Australia is part of a union. All such states display the flag of the Union they belong to. I cannot see anything wrong in that!

Elections are over in Malta .........and I think we should now talk about something else after all let us not foget that the PN won with a relative majority in other words more than 50% of the population did not vote for them in addition our electoral law ensure that minority interests are not rep we are the only parliament in europe to only have candidates from 2 parties rep......so let us not forget the deficincies of a system that has been reelected as well!!!! so who is for taling about hhmm lets see how to avoid first dates and go on straight to the second LOL

Let's recall that both parties (MLP and PN) agreed on the constitutional amendment that allows such a situation, obviously because it is to their benefit. It was probably one of the very few issues that they have ever agreed on.

USA IS A COUNTRY DIVIDED INTO STATES ( WHAT WE IN EUROPE WOULD TERM AS REGIONS) WITH ONE GOVERNMENT. NO STATE GOVERNS ON ITS OWN, N THAT EXPLAINS WHY THEY CARRY THE SAME FLAG.THIS APPLIES ALSO IN AUSTRALIA AND CANADA N LARGE COUNTRIES.

ALL COUNTRIES THAT ARE IN THE EUROPEAN UNION ARE NOT GOVERNED BY THE E.U. AS U TRIED TO IMPLY. EACH EUROPEAN COUNTRY HAVE THEIR OWN IDENTITY, THEIR OWN NATIONAL FLAG AND A GOVERNMENT ELECTED BY THEIR OWN PEOPLE. THE ONLY COMMON OBLIGATION WE ALL HAVE IS TO HONOUR THE TREATY WE INDIVIDUALLY SIGNED N BINDED OURSELVES WITH THE E.U.

IF YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF JUST A EUROPEAN NATIONAL THEN YOU WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN GIVEN A CHANCE TO VOTE IN OUR NATIONAL ELECTIONS. AS A EUROPEAN THE ONLY VOTING DOCUMENT YOU WERE ENTITLED FOR IS TO VOTE IN THE LOCAL COUNCILS. MAYBE SOMEONE WHO REGULARLY WRITES IN THE E.U. FORUMS N IS RESIDING IN MALTA CAN VERIFY MY STATEMENT.

SO PLEASE MY DEAR CO NATIONAL THINK AGAIN BEFORE YOU MAKE SUCH AN UNFOUNDED STATEMENT.

BUT PLEASE PERMIT ME TO GO BACK TO MY ARGUEMENT I FIND IT VERY FOOLISH THAT A MALTESE NATIONAL SHOULD FLAG THE EUROPEAN UNION FLAG ON ITS OWN. MORESO WHEN THIS ELECTION WAS NOT EVEN A VOTE FOR EUROPE, THEN MAYBE I WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE TOLERANT.

ALL GOVERNMENT INSTITUTIONS STILL PROUDLY FLAG OUR NATIONAL FLAG AT THE TOP OF THE BUILDINGS. MAYBE MARTI S INTELLIGENCE DOES NOT PERMIT HER TO SEE HOW PROUD WE SHOULD ALL BE OF OUR ANCESTORS THAT HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE WAR FOUGHT ON BEHALF OF OTHER NATION, WHO IN TURN MERITED THEM FOR THEIR BRAVERY WITH THE GEORGE CROSS THAT IS SO PROUDLY PRESENTED ON OUR FLAG
