Seeing we discussing legume things ... I am forever searching for Mung Beans, to make sprouts - love them.

And FRESH raw peanuts? All the peanuts in CH seem to be ancient old dried out things, in their shells.

A brown, oval bean originally hailing from Africa; in the Caribbean, also known as the gunga (Congo) pea and the pois d’Angole (Angola pea). Endowed with a nutty, earthy flavor, the pigeon pea is often paired with rice.

How to find
Sold fresh, canned, and frozen, look for canned pigeon peas in the Latin foods aisle at the supermarket. They’re more readily available than dried. You can also buy online at or .

Have you tried Pet Shops for Peanuts.
They used to sell the Nonroasted green Variety for Parrots, but that is a long time ago.

DO NOT buy any kind of seeds for birds in petshops!!

They have been sprayed/gassed with poison to prevent attacks from mice/rats/insects. Do not ask me why it does`nt harm your guineapig/bird or whatever pet you keep. Normally htere`s a warning written on the products...

Kind greetingswave
