Ok I admit it...I'm still a huge fan and have way too many 80's collections 
Let's see:
Quiet Riot, Warrant, Poison, Scorpions, Slaughter, Metallica and Slayer - Saw them at L'amours, Ratt, Twisted Sister, Dokken, Zebra, Motorhead, Anthrax, Krokus, VanHalen...Damn I could go on forever I still love them all and they're great to listen to when I need to get some housework done

Not all 80s metal is considered hair metal...theres a diffy like Anthrax was speed metal like Metallica...and thats what I like! Not the super cute front man with big hair, NOOOOOOOO that shouldn't even be called music lol. Anyway, I always liked Quiet Riot...the front man was ugly as hell but could sing. Thats as close to 80s hair metal as I get lol.

Led Zepplin (actually more 70's), Dio, sabboth, and all the new wave and punk bands, alot of different and great music came out of the 80's.

What's funny is the High school I went to our name was the Saxons.
Ever heard of Gamma, they don't even have a CD, still on vinyl.
It was Ronnie Montroses band, I think they put out 3 Alblums, one of which was the first 2 combined if I remember right.
Pretty good tunes, sounds like a local band.
