Purple Tights. (40)
Jan1305: I thought I'd let you know about my faux pas yesterday.
I have three native English speaking teachers on my team and a lovely middle-aged Russian teacher who teaches the starters or very low levels, her name is Liliyana.
I met her today and we were having a work chat - to set the scene for you, I was wearing a purple cardigan, black skirt and PURPLE TIGHTS, which I thought looked quite fetching. We finished our chat and I was about to leave when she whispered in my ear...."Janis, grown up ladies don't wear PURPLE TIGHTS!"
I couldn't believe it, but I wasn't offended. I went to my class and told them about our conversation and they too thought it was hilarious. They said it was true, but they loved my purple tights and told me to carry on wearing them.
Lilyana today told me she was thinking about buying some red tights, sweet lady.
I think I'm going to be trendsetter for middle-aged ladies here in this small Russian industrial town!

Those are the type of things that people say thinking they "know". My younger sister was always tëlling me things like that ..... "Now, at your age (I was 30) you dont wear tight jeans anymore", or a bikini, or leather minis, or or or........ And then she got offended when people asked her if I`m her younger sister!
Fishnet tights next Jan? .... Hipster denims full of glitter and studs?....
and thigh high boots!

Like belly tops. When did young girls forget to look in the mirror before they went out? I cringe when I see beautiful young women wearing clothes that their slimmer best friend wears. They could look so much better if they dressed according to size....and probably pull more of the guys because they often have beautiful faces and voluptious figures.

I do not wear mini skirts either, but I do wear shorts and feel very comfortable doing so! After all, I live on the seaside, half an hour from the beach...

But it is true that I am showing my two or three Pekingese females at home and abroad now, one black and one white. This weekend and next week I have a real marathon of four dog shows in Poland... so wish good luck to my girls!
