Lillym: Which planet are you on??? Michael Jackson pleeeeeease....
I would think that MJ is better know around the world than Coldplay. My son and his friends love Michael Jackson, but do not know anything about Coldplay. Lets not forget how huge Michael Jackson was during the 80's. I don't think Coldplay has even approached that epic level of MJ in his prime....so there
Thanks for chiming in about DMB.I like to compare similarities in vocals. I feel the Coldplay is a poor,but close, overrated attempt at riding the wave of popularity that DMB has going for them.just my 2 cents. I don't dislike Coldplay...But If ratings here are any indication. "Song writer of the decade?".In that sense.YES they are overrated. I DISAGREE.
Stressfree. Michael Jackson still rocks today.BIGTIME.No comparison.None what so ever.
Let's split outwards a bit shall we? DMB is like Brian Setzer Orchestra.
every band is over rated, to a certain degree....its called promotion ....back in the late fiftys there was {i believe it was called} the paola scandal....in which, ron paola lost his carreer for paying radio stations to play certain records over and over...today, that is common place....cold play, in my opinion, is a very good band....every musician has influences, and its hard to NOT have those influinces heard in your music...and if you listen to enough music ,you can hear it as well....but, when i listen to cold play, its hard to hear there influinces...which says alot to me, concerning there musicianship {if you will}

Even worse....X Factor.
Kill the panel.
Kill the contestants.
Kill the writers.
Kill them all, and anyone who even entered to enter this crap dressed up like these people had a modicum of talent.
Backtrack, and even kill anyone who voted for any of them!
That way we shall wipe out the brain bead talentless majority from music companies and especially any A & R men who wants to sign any act like mr blobby or Robson & Jerome.
my neighbour, the accountant (flash car, flash suits, plastic smile, plastic pleasantries,) gets wiggy on coke and cries along with his coldplay albums at the weekends. I used to feel sorry for the poor thing so i'd play nick cave and the velvets at top volume so that he could hear what real emotion and talent sounds like but it didn't work. I guess when you're a dreary soulless entity only dreary soulless muzak will do.
