To me it is an attempt to be assertive (i.e. neither apologetic nor aggressive)... however, regarding who I am and what my true self is -
I have no idea.
Deep down I do not know myself.
Am I generous on the outside but mean inside?
Am I really a 'giver' or a 'taker'
Do I really care or am I really selfish?
Do I love truly and honestly or am I a cold-hearted fish?
Am I deep down happy or deep down sad?
Am I very 'deep' or am I merely superficial?
Have I a heart filled with music and joy and wonderful warm colours or is my heart a chamber devoid of all good things?
No - I have no idea who or what I am deep deep inside!
