Well, according to himself, the food crisis in Zimbabwe is the fault of the USA and Britain for imposing sanctions when all he was trying to do was to re-distribute the farmlands fairly to his own people......confused

What I dont understand is this ... they still got the same amount of farmland .. Why they not producing food?dunno

Maybe it isn't just the Land that produces Food, but Human Know-How.
And under Conditions, like the ones created by Mugabe, the first thing that goes Underground is the Human Mind.

Yes, I see what you saying ... But .... Surely the people should be so happy to inherit nice big farms? Most of them with a furnished house, farm implements, tractors, harvesters, etc etc .....? All they got to do is FARM! Even the contours of the farms are layed out!

Conrad73: Definitely.
He gave them to his Cronies, his Yes-Men,and I doubt they have the ability to do the kind of Farming required to get Zimbabwe out of the Quagmire Robert Mugabe got it into.
It's extremely sad to contemplate what Africa is really capable of.
But Freedom is one of the Basic Requirements for Prosperity.
why didnt they arrest him at the food summit put him on trial for genacide and send in un troops to oversee a fair election and also some experts on farming with some seeds its a wonderful country gone down the tubes try him lock him and throw away the key would be my justice for the despotvery mad

If I gave my honest opion of Robert Mugabe here, I would be booted, sufice to say, I did not enjoy having to drive into deep water ditches to allow him and his entourage to pass by. He is a despot, and cares nothing for his people only himself and his 'friends' who help keep him in power.

Yes, I heard that also, However he must have sufficient money stowed away that one of the other African nations would take him?

There are some Travel-Sanctions,and I believe some Freezes of Bank-accounts against some Members of the ruling Party, including Mugabe.

It,s a fact, the people he gave the farms to simply do not know how to farm. Like giving the keys to a forty ton truck to a three year old and telling him to get on with it and drive you into town. Makes no sense.sigh
