breezee: Blake's poem was the first thing I thought of too, Flower.

Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee?

Did He who made the lamb make thee??

Did He?

Can a painter destroy one of his paintings to make another?
Can a creator create something of beauty, like the lamb, to see it destroyed and mercilessly butchered by another of HIS creatures, the tiger?

Think about it.

No but a painter can create 2 completely conflicting paintings and put them side by side

Humans are pretty much capable and have been know to behave in the way you describe Antcus ONLY not to other living creatues but to other human beings

Only difference is the tiger does it for survival (in spite of its mighty power) whereas the human race do it to achieve mighty power because of its need to dominate !!!

I think that it's only the ape species who hurt others of the same species for fun, jealousy or anger.... (and apparently we're related)

Not sure, some species fight between them to establish leadership, which show once more how the evolved mind of the humans is still following achaic patterns

--- ah! the many layers -- look beyond the picture you see of the many layers beneath it
- that is where the essence lies
