Jester266: When i'm lonely.. i grab my car keys and go for a drive or if i'm too depressed i just go to sleep ....

I do the driving when I'm really really angry..... just turn the radio on full blast and go wherever... I'm good at getting lost so no need to worry about trying to get lost. I try to get onto little roads as to make myself slow down otherwise I'd just hit the pedal and be gone and after all, I can only escape for a little while, I've got responsabilities

CuspofMagic: make myself busy - write paint- sell wine- cook a special meal- walk in a beautiful part - count all the blessings in my life- have a coffee or three on the boulevard and then theres always CS

1) Keeping busy... Always a good idea!

2) Walking... Excellent (especially when you have the company of a perky little dog (well, that will do for now...))!

3) CS... Always great!

4) Counting your blessings... Both humbling and helpful!

dragonfly88: I don't usually feel lonely and when I do I unlonely myself by visiting a friend

what I do feel sometimes is down when things just seem to pile up... kicking trees is not enogh so I just mop around and feel sorry for myself for a while till I decide to get a move on.

when I'm down, I don't really feel like talking to people much.

have some chocolate ...

You're right, DF - kicking trees in this situation just doesn't do it... Although - perhaps if I do it barefoot?... hmm. uh oh

On the other hand - Chocolate!! Of course!!! Tried it! Lots of it! It worked!! grin

MARTI: Same here D\F.

Good Morning NINAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

Hope you are feeling better.

Go and buy something for yourself. I find it a good therapy.

wave

Thanks, Marti! Yes, been keeping busy the last couple of days - driving very long distances, seeing friends - and sorting out buraucratic paperwork; certain to take your mind off other things!!! frustrated

Shopping is always good therapy, I agree! I read that it is actually in the female genes - has to do with the old 'gatherer' thing - whenever we can accumulate things for our families and our homes, we fell happy. Now is that a great excuse to shop 'til you drop, or what?! grin

Yes... love to do that in the right places... But while in our lovely park here, it's not really realistic... too many birds around - which make this friendly schnauzer turn into 'Molly the Bird Slayer'... and since we would like to be able to return to the park, I try to avoid any bird incidents... although the dog has not yet realized that the birds are too fast for her... she is still young and naive. laugh

According to me, it is all in the mind and perspective...

Look at mirror and tell yourself, youare beautiful and you will be...

Look at the mirror and tell yourself, you are not beautiful and you will not be....

Its the way we believe in things... and belief maketh truth or false..

So, believe that you are not lonely, you feel good and you will not be lonely.... you dont have to take diversions going for shopping, cooking etc....by which you believe that you are lonely and you believe that you are avoiding it.....

Who Let The Dogs Out

Who let the dogs out
(woof, woof, woof, woof)
(woof, woof, woof, woof)
(woof, woof, woof, woof)
(woof, woof, woof, woof)

Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)

(woof, woof, woof, woof)

When the party was nice, the party was jumpin' (Hey, Yippie, Yi, Yo)
And everybody havin' a ball (Hah, ho, Yippie Yi Yo)
I tell the fellas "start the name callin'" (Yippie Yi Yo)
And the girls report to the call
The poor dog show down

Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)

I see ya' little speed boat head up our coast
She really want to skip town
Get back off me, beast off me
Get back you flea infested monger

Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)

I'm gonna tell {Hey, Yippie, Yi, Yo}
To any girls calling them canine {Yippie, Yi, Yo}
Tell the dummy "Hey Man, It's part of the Party!" {Yippie Yi, Yo}
You fetch a women in front and her mans behind {Yippie, Yi, Yo}
Her bone runs out now

Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)

Say, A doggy is nuttin' if he don't have a bone All dogy hold ya' bone, all doggy hold it
A doggy is nuttin' if he don't have a bone All dogy hold ya' bone, all doggy hold it

Wait for y'all my dogs, the party is on
I gotta get my girl I got my myind on
Do you see the rays comin' from my eye
What could you be friend
That Benji man that's breakin' them down?
Me and My white short shorts
And I can't seek a lot, any canine will do
I'm figurin' that's why they call me faithful
'Cause I'm the man of the land
When they see me they doah-ooooo(howl)

Song was the Rage one year at the Long Island Bahamas Regatta!

grin

"Who Let the Dogs Out?" is a song written and originally recorded by Anslem Douglas for Trinidad and Tobago's Carnival season of 1998. It was heard and taped on a float by hairdresser Keith from the London salon Smile, who played it to Jonathan King, who recorded it and released it under the name Fatt Jakk and his Pack of Pets. It then came to the attention of King's friend Steve Greenberg, who produced it with a group he was promoting called The Baha Men. The Baha Men covered the song and placed it in the movie Rugrats in Paris: The Movie and then released it as a single in 2000, when it became the band's first hit in the US and the UK. It reached #40 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and #2 on the UK Singles Chart. It was the 4th biggest-selling single of 2000 in the UK. It was also a big hit in Australia, where it reached #1. The track went to win the Grammy for Best Dance Recording on the 2001 Grammy Awards

I cry....

Then I crash open a bottle of wine, sit, reflect and learn about my relationships.

Do you know that all single people have a 100% track record of failure.

Good statistic that I think.

Hi all...

Yes it is.....if you're going to do something, at least do it well...100% success-rate is full-marks in my book...maybe we can excel at being single?...can you be successful being single??...Is there a point to being single, or is the success of your life dependent on the presence of someone else being there?...
