I've turned mine off now ...
But I did find a way of CHECKING WHO is IMing me before replying ...
As soom as the IM request drops into your window, ignore the request and instead click on "mailbox" at the top of the page, then click on the IM requests tag!! Hey presto!! You can see who is furiously trying to chat to you (as well as you trying to IM you while you weren't around + date and time)!!
Now you can choose whether to say Yeh!!! or Neh!!

yesterday I left my computer for a siesta and came back to find 20 blocked pop up windows from IM attempts had frozen the screen.

The ignore action on the IM is a bad signal in a way, but out of curiosity it’s probably fine. It can be fun to see who is in a very bad need of talking here and now with me, but as I am working on the computer in the same time, it is not always a perfect timing.

Then I have been soooooooooooooooooo rude too!!! Have great memories of the IM with Gongman though!!! Had a such a laugh with the "kiss" & "smack" buttons which have sound effect!!!!
