For me defiantly must be able to hold a intelligent convo, be comfortable and confidant of who they are, and most of all be able to laugh at themselves..
Must make me laugh, be themself, Confident, nice... among other things I guess.
First date location? Totally depend on the person and what they are into. No use going to the movies with someone who is fidgety and doesn't like movies.

location for a first date/meet.. a licensed billiard place, you can have a few drinks....its not too loud and you can get comfortable and talk with out it being too up close and d&m...
what grabs me is if im instantly attracted too and comfortable with her, even more so when the feeling is obviously mutual.. that they dont put on this big personality that really isnt them..

I've only been on one date
But I must admit taking notes helps..
We chatted for awhile before we went on a date so I was lucky enough to know a few of her likes and dislikes..
It was the kiss on the first date that made me think I'd like to see her again..

first impressions,totally.... me and the boys have a saying, "a dress means yes"...it actually applies to mini skirts/cfm boots and similar but you get the idea....
but thats in general, its more to do with the way the interact with you that influences your judgement..well thats what ive found anyway...

For a first date I would go out for a drink... relaxes the mood.. and yes, you usually know in the first 5 minutes if you are interested in someone.
I would want to see someone again if they made me laugh and most important... if I felt a spark between us.

I dont think the chat n email foreva thing is a very good strategy...
My Philosophy is untill you meet youll not know ,from experiance you can have the connection online /phone etc but untill you actually have the face to face well its just not worth gettin excited about . So go for it girls , if your chattin just say ok well lets meet !!!
