I found a woman who's awesome.
I flirted with her and she was keen but when I said I had children she lost interest fast. Well not in those words but ya get the point.

I love my boys and just wanted to get a womans view on dating men with children. Honestly a lot of women say they don't mind but when it comes to the crunch........wellmoping

I hope this lady you speak of was just shocked or put back a bit so she may need time to get her head around it perhaps?

Me personally? Yes I would and have dated a single dad. We were together for over 1 year and he had 3 kids.

It is certainly hard to adjust too but in my opinion, (and just mine laugh ) I found it probably easier as I already have a child. I am not too sure how a single childless female would go dating a dad but you will get a lot that will take it on board and others that won't.

If I met a man with kids, it wouldn't bother me in the slightest providing he was a nice man and someone I wanted to be with.

Just out of curiosity how old is she?

I have no problem with dating men with kids. Of course I have 2 of my own, which probably does give you a different perspective.

confused kids are just an extra bonus......... I think that developing relationships with kids from previous relationships take a little longer.

dunno i think if she bolted because of that then its her loss.

This woman isn't soo awesome if she acts this way.
Being a single mum i seem to have the same prob, what makes it
harder is that i'm also a grandmother.

There's nothing wrong with becoming a Brady Bunch.

Hang in there you'll find someone i'm surecheers

Hey Kis, I am a single mum of two & to be honest i was very open to dating another single parent ...untill i did .The kids were wonderful & his & mine got on great also i got on with his & he mine the problem arose was simply this , we both work , we both have commitments we found that getting any alone time was just about impossible .we would do lots of family things which was great but then wed have to be here for my kids sports & there for his kids things we even hired sitters so we could go out for dinner but then 11 pm comes i go homew take the sitter home , he goes home does the same then we were on the phone to each other till 2am...thats when it hit both of us ..we should have been together but both having such busy lives & being totally responible for our children left no time for us , we were basically slotting each other in , it became just another thing to fit in & juggle into our days . we decided that although what we had was potentially gr8 it really was affecting our time with our kids .I have now had to make the decision not to date single full time fathers , & he has done the same .
when venturing into the dating world i never thought this would be an issue , I was in fact looking for a single dad i thought it would be better having someone who understood the pressures of work & full time parenting , but there you go live n learn.Perhaps this was the case with the woman you met ?

Been there done that. I found the women do seem to have problems accepting a man's kids. Little Emmy's nanny never had as many grandkids as me.
I just love kids so I find it hard to understand how anyone can not.
Show me a baby and I just turn into jelly wanting a hold of the precious little person.kiss

I'm a single mum and I have found most men who don't have kids run for their lives, men with kids will date you. I have never dated a man who has kids but I wouldn't have a problem with him having kids.
It sounds strange, a woman not wanting to date a man with kids but men are like that as well.
Maybe she just needs time to get used to the idea.

I didn't really word this right, I'll try again here's what happened. I met a woman yesterday it was amazing. I let it drop that I was a single parent and was given the cold shoulder.

I might of asked her out for a drink or to do something! wasn't really looking for a relationship that fastrolling on the floor laughing

I tell woman straight off that I'm a single parent with two boys, sometimes tho' I wonder if I should just shut the fark updevil It would take a long while before I was ready for anyone to meet the boysroll eyes
But dating!! alright the boys go off to friends and really you'd never no I had any if I didn't tell you. When I'm out the boys think nothing of it I spend a night away aweek due to work. cheers

Thats what you do.... I don't tell men that I have kids unless they ask... that way they get to know you first.
