It's what has been told. It's their story and they're stickin to it.
When I was in the USAF, we trained Iraqi pilots in our aircraft on base, along with the other students, as well as Iranians!!!

shipoker58: no one doubts that Sadam was a monster. But we are a civilized nation of laws. Did we break the law in our pursuit of Sadam, is the question. If we can justify our breaking international laws in our pursuit of a criminal, then we are just as guilty as the criminal. If we say the end justified the means, then all Sadam was guilty of is trying to bring stability to his country.We did not invade Iraq because of treatment of the Kurds, we invaded, presumably, because he had WMDs. Those charges proved false, even with the forged documents.
Sadam was yes a monster, he needed to be stopped. But there are laws and protical ment to be followed. It is no wonder other countries have come to hate us. Seems our government has some pretty big double standards!
The Bush Adminastration both Bushes, had an agenda and tried every way possible to meet that agenda.
Double talk double standards as they saw fit, set ups, wild goose chases, faulse documentation. If you ask me Bush is no better the Sadam. And he is no where finished!
I do not claim to believe that Our government had anything to do with 9/11 but I have heard and listened to others that firmly believe it. But if it is true, and with NS PD51 and HS PD20 in tact, isn't it just a little scarry that it could be possible that there will be a disaster to take place? That it just might be possible that our government causes it and shuts down our elections?
I personally do not know what to believe any longer? A new world order? prison camps springing up around the country? Just what the hell is going on? Why is right for the president to cancil elections does he really have some plan in store to implament his authority and no intention to step down?
I have to ask is this all for real? Thats not the country I have loved my whole life.

I agree we were sleeping at the switch prior to 9/11 Just like we were on Dec. 7, 1941. I guess we are just too damn trusting a nation for a world like this. We give everybody the benifit of the doubt and trust before they actually earn it. But, the American people have a very long memory especially when we get stabbed in the back.
I saw an interview of some of the flight instructors after 9/11 and you can be sure they are carrying a load of guilt with them to this day. One guy said I should have suspected something was not right when my students never asked for instruction on how to land an airplane. It's all crystal clear now but at the time nobody questioned it.

The whole thing revolved around Sadams attempt to kill his daddy. 4000 Americans have paid the price for his revenge. It had nothing to do with the Kurds or 9-11.
If it were an issue involving the Kurds, Bush would have stood and benn righteously indignant and said we are going to save the Kurds. If it were 9-11 affiliated, he would have boldly stood and said we are seeking revenge. But he LIED and SAID IT WAS ABOUT WORLD SECURITY AND WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION, OF WHICH WE HAVE MORE THAN THE REST OF THE WORLD PUT TOGETHER, and therefore, it is our responsibility to save the world

Mistakes in judgement, ,deceit and corruption are part of the daily life of politicians.and our running of our governemnt.
There has to come a time when the past is past and the path ahead should be everyones predominate concern.
Then theres the time and financial expenditures factor that should be considered.
Do we really want to spend the next 4 years sorting out what has happened or should we move on to the cost and burden of bringing about repairs to an ailing U.S. thats going to effects us all including our children.
