I don't hate my father. He's not my dad. My stepdad is, I even call him dad. He's been more of a dad to me the last 12 years he's been married to my mother than my father has been my whole life. I call my father by his first name and all he ever was to me was a government check every month when the military took child support out of his pay.

I miss Dad at times and I know I will miss my Mom when she goes. hat will not be very long now.
