I think it even as far as man and women being lonely. One can get just as lonely as the other.
Usually lonely hearts find each other. Look at this site, I am sure loneliness brought most here.

Both women and men sometime feel the intence pain of loneliness one time or another, where tis in a crowd or by oneself.
Sailors hear the musical sirens, the call of the Mermaid of the Lorelei luring them to be dashed upon the rocks ... whereby she sits awaiting, Hearts too can be shattered by the rocks of loneliness and despair as well....

How's it going man, keeping up with everybody ...
Thanks for the welcome back. Been a bit lazy,Had a new roof put on the house, new water heater and furnace installed, seems everything wanted to break down at once. Moved my washing machine and LP dryer upstairs to a new utility room, so my old legs don't have to go up and down the cellar stairs as much. Now I have a project going on outside. I am putting up a new 24 foot long X 4 foot high lattice fence, not bad for an old guy? Ha ha!
Think I will take a break, glad it raining in CT to I can let the fence go for awhile. Take careRoy!

When I was a young boy, my mother told me men don’t cry,
Now I loved my mother, so I know she wouldn’t intentionally lie!
So, when I fell down and skinned my bloody knee,
I looked at the pain and blood oozing out and said crying wasn’t for me!
As I grew older and was proud of fighting for my name,
I fought in the schoolyard, loosing a tooth holding back the agony of pain!
When I was in the Army and saw some different sights,
I landed up drinking and had some god, awful fights!
Riding at night homeward bound to the barracks, in an old Army bus,
My buddy was knifed in the stomach by a comrade, God, whom can you trust!
Their were shootings, lootings and all that kind of stuff,
No time for crying, sometimes in Germany, it was just a little rough!
When Army life was over, I fell heavenly in love,
She was my princess, my companion, my cooing, kissing, loving cuddly little dove!
I will love her forever, as she is no longer here,
Mother up in heaven you were wrong, my wife died and was taken from me, and now I feel a tear!
Some night are lonelier than others,

Searching for a dreamy girl, looking for her still!
Of course her eyes would reflect his love and be so ever lasting true!

A Lonely Lady!
An unloved lonely lady sitting beneath a star
Thought wonderingly, Where oh! Where … you are?
The ocean breezes played among her hair
She asked the question again … Oh! Where?
The salt air freshened her with more despair
God, she said I wonder where?
The night birds called, they were lonely too,
Did you call … was it … could it be you?
The water splashed upon the sand,
She drew a heart … within your name,
But rippled waves made it disappear,
She cried a bit … wasn’t it a shame!
She touched the water and asked the magic question … with her toe,
It’s fluorescent quizzical answer was I don’t know!
For oh! How she hungered for a midnight kiss,
A touch of fingers … some heavenly bliss!
Someone soft against her cheek,
To make her sigh … was more than she could seek!
To feel him nestle between her breasts,
Love would take care of all the rest …
