Thiis is a song that my late husband danced to on our Anniversary.
Today we would've celebrated our 25 th Anniversary.
Celine Dion - "Because You Loved Me"
For all those times you stood by me For all the truth that you made me see For all the joy you brought to my life For all the wrong that you made right For every dream you made come true For all the love I found in you I'll be forever thankful baby You're the one who held me up Never let me fall You're the one who saw me through through it all
You were my strength when I was weak You were my voice when I couldn't speak You were my eyes when I couldn't see You saw the best there was in me Lifted me up when I couldn't reach You gave me faith 'coz you believed I'm everything I am Because you loved me
You gave me wings and made me fly You touched my hand I could touch the sky I lost my faith, you gave it back to me You said no star was out of reach You stood by me and I stood tall I had your love I had it all I'm grateful for each day you gave me Maybe I don't know that much But I know this much is true I was blessed because I was loved by you
You were my strength when I was weak You were my voice when I couldn't speak You were my eyes when I couldn't see You saw the best there was in me Lifted me up when I couldn't reach You gave me faith 'coz you believed I'm everything I am Because you loved me
You were always there for me The tender wind that carried me A light in the dark shining your love into my life You've been my inspiration Through the lies you were the truth My world is a better place because of you
You were my strength when I was weak You were my voice when I couldn't speak You were my eyes when I couldn't see You saw the best there was in me Lifted me up when I couldn't reach You gave me faith 'coz you believed I'm everything I am Because you loved me
A winters day In a deep and dark december; I am alone, Gazing from my window to the streets below On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow. I am a rock, I am an island. Ive built walls, A fortress deep and mighty, That none may penetrate. I have no need of friendship; friendship causes pain. Its laughter and its loving I disdain. I am a rock, I am an island.
Dont talk of love, But Ive heard the words before; Its sleeping in my memory. I wont disturb the slumber of feelings that have died. If I never loved I never would have cried. I am a rock, I am an island.
I have my books And my poetry to protect me; I am shielded in my armor, Hiding in my room, safe within my womb. I touch no one and no one touches me. I am a rock, I am an island.
And a rock feels no pain; And an island never cries.

"To Where You Are"
Who can say for certain Maybe you’re still here I feel you all around me Your memories so clear
Deep in the stillness I can hear you speak You’re still an inspiration Can it be (? ) That you are mine Forever love And you are watching over me from up above
Fly me up to where you are Beyond the distant star I wish upon tonight To see you smile If only for awhile to know you’re there A breath away’s not far To where you are
Are you gently sleeping Here inside my dream And isn’t faith believing All power can’t be seen
As my heart holds you Just one beat away I cherish all you gave me everyday ’cause you are mine Forever love Watching me from up above
And I believe That angels breathe And that love will live on and never leave
Fly me up To where you are Beyond the distant star I wish upon tonight To see you smile If only for awhile To know you’re there A breath away’s not far To where you are
I know you’re there A breath away’s not far To where you are
THE STORY OF RHODESIA Here's the story of Rhodesia. A land both fair and great. On 11th of November an independent state. This was much against the wishes of certain governments. Whose leaders tried to break us down, to make us all repent.
Chorus But we're... all Rhodesians and we'll fight through thick and thin. We'll keep our land a free land, stop the enemy coming in. We'll keep them north of the Zambezi till that river's running dry. This mighty land will prosper for Rhodesians never die.
They can send their men to murder and they can shout their words of hate. But the cost of keeping this land free will never be too great. For our men and boys are fighting for the things that they hold dear. This land and all its people will never disappear.
'Cos we're.... all Rhodesians etc......
We'll preserve this little nation, for our children's children too. For once you're a Rhodesian, no other land will do We will stand forth in the sunshine, with the truth upon our side. And if we have to go alone, we'll go alone with pride.
If a picture paints a thousand words, Then why can't I paint you? The words will never show the you I've come to know. If a face could launch a thousand ships, Then where am I to go? There's no one home but you, You're all that's left me too. And when my love for life is running dry, You come and pour yourself on me.
If a man could be two places at one time, I'd be with you. Tomorrow and today, beside you all the way. If the world should stop revolving spinning slowly down to die, I'd spend the end with you. And when the world was through, Then one by one the stars would all go out, Then you and I would simply fly away

It seems to me that a certain someone sent this to me. I wonder who.
If you want to be brave And reach for the top of the sky And the farthest point on the horizon Do you know who you'll meet there Great soldiers and seafarers, Artists and dreamers Who need to be close, close to the light They need to be in danger of burning by fire And I, I want to get there I, I want to be one One who is touched by the sun, One who is touched by the sun
Often I want to walk The safe side of the street And lull myself to sleep And dull my pain But deep down inside I know I've got to learn from the greats, Earn my right to be living, Let my wings of desire Soar over the night I need to let them say "She must have been mad" And I, I want to get there I, I want to be one One who is touched by the sun, One who is touched by the sun
I've got to learn from the greats, Earn my right to be living, With every breath that I take, Every heartbeat And I, I want to get there I, I want to be one, One who is touched by the sun, One who is touched by the sun.
Stranger than your sympathy This is my apology I'm killing myself from the inside out And all my fears have pushed you out
I wished for things that I don't need All I wanted And what I chase won't set me free All I wanted And I get scared but I'm not crawling on my knees
Oh yeah everything's all wrong yeah Everything's all wrong yeah Where the hell did I think I was
Stranger than your sympathy I take these things so I don't feel I'm killing myself from the inside out Now my head's been filled with doubt
It's hard to lead the life you choose All I wanted When all your luck's run out on you All I wanted You can't see when all your dreams are coming true
Oh yeah it's easy to forget yeah You choke on the regrets yeah Who the hell did I think I was
Stranger than your sympathy All these thoughts you stole from me I'm not sure where I belong Nowhere's home and I'm all wrong
And I wasn't all the things I tried to make believe I was And I wouldn't be the one to kneel Before the dreams I wanted And all the talk and all the lies Were all the empty things disguised as me Yeah stranger than your sympathy, stranger than your sympathy
