At first I thought it was dumb and obnoxious but then I realized that it was a good way to see people's profiles and to have people see yours which is probably why people do it. I don't want to do it (I don't want to see how I rate) but I'm wondering what you think. Did you let people rate your photo and if so did it help in meeting anyone? Don't tell me to send flowers or mail to men whose profiles I liked, I tried that many times and got no response or negative ones. I think its better just to let them contact me.

I voted you a 10....

you are very pretty... but it's only a photo... that doesn't mean that you are not a lovely person... but I don't know you, and you don't know me..

Or course physical attraction is important to some....

I think the voting of pictures is a way of stating 'that she is pretty' JMO

I don't and won't think that if I vote highly... I'm in with a chance... again JMO

I have personally voted high on women who I may not be attracted too, but she may be funny, intellectual, or we may have the same interests etc, etc

When I had my picture up,
I switched off the rating option.

It's not something I like.
Beauty and attraction are in the
eye of the beholder.

Everyone luckily likes something
different in the look of someone.

Also some still put up pictures
which are many years old and
of course these are not a true
reflection of the way they look now.

I like the photo ratings. While my score is not so great. I do like to see that in at least some peoples eye I look good which is a plus lips

My photo rating option is turned off.

I'd rather have people judge me by how I conduct myself in the forums.

Susie and Lydia,
Nobody looks at my profile unless I post in the forums and then its only to see who I am-I don't think that all that many people outside of regular posters read the forums. I have never had my photo rating turned on but I'm wondering if I did then at least someone would look at it. I don't care who thinks I'm attractive or not since that's a completely individual thing but I know that sometimes when I'm bored I rate men's photos as an easy way to look at profiles. Otherwise I don't think there's much point in the site if no one looks at profiles.

Not sure I'd want that either since some people get really offended by other people's views and opinions. I posted here yesterday about the hate mail I've gotten over nothing so I'm extremely careful what I post in the forums and how I word it.

thumbs up Agree; turned mine off too. Doesn't really matter how people think you look; some will like, some won't. Can still be friends and have a great time!

I don't rate photos cause looks arn't my reason for interest.I never turned mine off but never was curious either.Whether I am beautiful or a dog,I want a gentleman to want me for reasons other than looks.

That was a nice thing to say Dknew
.
Nomindgames, I hear ya, I wish that was the way it played out. I think it does much more so in real life than online. Since I haven't had luck online I think I'll have to go back to real life.

Do you get contacted occasionally as a result? If so then its worth it (uncomfortable as it might be for me)
