Only those who won't let go...I don't know why people don't realize you can't make someone love you and why they want someone to stay out of a sense of obligation rather than love...you not only cheat the person you're trying to hold onto out of real love....but you also cheat yourself!!!!!

I am beginning to think that very few are trully capable of being it....by Jesus' standard we fall way short of love.....it's more theatrical and obscene and sooo misinterpreted and easily betrayed....help us God.

Who can live up to the perfect standard of a god though???...That's unrealistic in my mind because we're human...and far from perfect...nor will we ever be perfect...so there is no way I would ever expect anyone to live up to those standards of love...as far as I am concerned it's unattainable....

You are so right Hugs-n-Kissez, There are ups and downs in all relationships and you either work through them or do not go into the relationship. There was only one Perfect. He only asks of us to be honest and work at making the relationship work. Unfortunately my last one was only 2 years. My first lasted 36 years and he passed 5 years ago.

It seems unattainable because we are polluted and corruptible, and because sin keeps on perpetuating itself like a bad plague, but we all know right from wrong, Godly from ungodly....are we so weak as to just keep on living a mediocre ungodly life or do we have the strength to strive and exercise our will towards godliness ?

Well that's only for people who subscribe to that concept...but there are those who don't...and we can and never will reach perfection only god can be perfect...we may know right from wrong yes...but that doesn't mean if we make a mistake that we are unworthy of love and I think if we have that expectation from potential partners...unless we can say we have reached perfection ourselves...we shouldn't expect perfection from anyone else either....
