keytone: no, you are incorrect. you can have a "radical" in any "belief" or "disbelief".
Some people take it to the extreme. Shooting down anything that might threaten their own "ideals". ussually a sign of being insecure and needing to prove another wrong to make themselves feel ok.
;-}

Right and they take the words of the bible and the koran and twist them to make them fit and justify their cause and actions!!!!!

First of all, You don't believe in the "books" ,,do you?? so how can you begin to say or interpret the meaning of them?
secondly, You, by what I have seen here, are a radical ,,at least to some degree..No..not all would shed blood,,if you "believe" that, you are truly ignorant and reasoning with you is not likely to happen.
I hope that is not the case. You are stuborn I think, but I really didn't think you were so blind or radical to just think all "Believers" or otherwise were the same. Your arogance and ego blinds you. your effort to disrupt even goes against what we had agreed on earlier. Your sarcasm is another sign of stupidity and inability to accept truth.
I think you would argue anything if it caught your fancy, even if someone might agree with you I have seen the way you still give them a "dig".
even when you get your "final" word it does not mean it is "correct".

no attack here. I am only going off what you have posted to me and on this forum.

as far as me being a radical. You have no idea what my beliefs are. I may be assertive and ask someone to own up to what they are stating, but that is all. Look up "Radical Atheism" and compare it to what we were both reading about under " Zen Atheism" or don't. you will believe what you will..just like the rest of the world.

crotalus_p: Sorry ship but I have to point out that you made a big mistake there is no such thing as a radical Christian or a radical Muslim they are not radicals they are true believers , they truly believe in the Koran or the bible
“In the year 2008, a person can have sufficient intellectual and material resources to build a nuclear bomb and still believe that he will get seventy-two virgins in Paradise. Western secularists, liberals, and moderates have been very slow to understand this. The cause of their confusion is simple: they don’t know what is like to really believe in God.”

sorry, not going to split hairs with words. Save it for someone else

fireliter: are you a religious bigot?

Sure many claim they would date outside their race or cultural ethnicity. But when it comes to religion, are you bias, prejudice, or hold to preconceived notions of what they are or capable of.

I respect all religions. I have close friends that I met at college from all over the world. I have worshiped with them, in their religions and vice a versa. Did I feel prejudiced? No, I was honored, my friends were comfortable with me to invite me to worship with them and to worship with me when I invited them.

My Father said that in general, all religions are different methods/ways of paying homage/respect/worship to the same G-d, with the exception of non-belief and any form of evil worship. That was his opinion. I tend to share it.

I really do not consider myself Religious but Spiritual

I agree --plus the fact that most (I would say all, but I'm only 99% sure) of the major religions have eerily similar events scribed in them --perceived in different ways.

I personally feel like the Bible has been tampered with early on to fit in with the agenda of early empires through church/state influence. That agenda? Well, I'd sound like a conspiracy theorist if I elaborated.
