Sure many claim they would date outside their race or cultural ethnicity. But when it comes to religion, are you bias, prejudice, or hold to preconceived notions of what they are or capable of.

how funny that most religions have the same professes such as Thou shall not kill etc etc.....
but no religion, it appears, teach stuff like Thou shall not be bigots
(I might be totally wrong, as I am an ignorant on the subject. Those religious people, no disrespect to you. please do not attack)

I'm not a religious bigot as I believe that everyone has the right to their own beliefs. However, dating outside of mine depends on the other person. I'm with Hugz, I certainly couldn't date someone who was constantly trying to convert me to their beliefs in order to save my soul.
However, there are people who call themselves by one religious affiliation just because it's what they've always been and are most comfortable with, who are very broadminded and open spiritually. Those I can date, regardless of what they call themselves.
In my searches I eliminate all but those who match my beliefs, but if someone from another faith approached me after reading my profile, then I would know that they must be pretty open-minded. (Except for scammers, who tend to approach me saying they're looking for a good, God-fearing wife, lol...one of my tell-tale markers for them ).
To be so flippant to prejudge someone because of any difference from you yourself.. is bigotry... sure we all enjoy being seen and treated as individuals, yet I see an undercurrent daily of religious bigotry from the same ones that spout they are not like the others. be it in acquiring a relationships, or ones work ethics,or intelligence.
I think certain religious doctrines train the sheep of that sect to have prejudices and be bigots. maybe thats where bigotry and prejudice began.

Part of the basic tenets of any religion is intolerance for any unbeliever. We'd not have words such as heathen, infidel, catamite, etc. without humanities sociological need for an "out" group.

I agree....I they teach bigotry every day when they teach that people belonging to any other religious group are not good enough because they are wrong and going to hell for their beliefs...that attitude has to make it's way into every other part of life too...

i was baptised as a methodist and grew up as a catholic. i don't pay much mind to religion. every religion insists that their way is right and others are wrong. if you dont share their beliefs than you are going to hell. more than one religion has those kinds of beliefs. the way they make it sound is that we are all going to hell. this is proballly one of the reasons i am not big on religion.
i dont date based on religion. i am agnostic. as in prove to me god exists. i do not believe nor disbelieve in him. i just need proof. but i have dated people who are religious and ive dated a few athiests. as long as you dont worship lucifer i dont care what religion you are or even if you have one. everyone is entitled into their own views and beliefs without being judged or hated for it.
crotalus_p: What’s wrong with the church of Satan ??? They are normally a pretty nice bunch
satinists remind me of the occult. im not much for religion but lucifer is the devil.evil. whether he is real or not that is one thing people should not be worshiping.
If I had answered like that...the mods would have banned me
Really? Are you calling the mods unfair? All I am saying that if you don't want to have anything to do with a particular group, I would guess they would not want a thing to do with you either!
In order to get BANNED for a comment like that, you must have caused trouble in the past?

Spiritual....but never religious
Good they would not want you either, I'd guess.
