i think that was the best posting yet.
an overweight person can be healthy. I am no blood pressure problems or cholesterol problems.
if i lose weight since i have started watching what i eat the "YEAH ME".
My sister is skinny and she has had 3 kids. Her husband loves her for who she is and the guy I am seeing loves me for who I am . It is all about personal preferences.
Just remember when you feel like you have given up is the most likely time you will meet the right person. you never know maybe you already know tham and just haven't made the connection yet.
katz55: well said!
Reality is you need to accept yourself first before anyone else can accept you.

it's like I always say....

if you can't accept me as I am....you'll never accept me as you think I should be.

I am a big girl.......and weight isn't an issue becasue at my thinnest I am still around 200lbs, I have a large bone structure and dense muscle mass, but am proportionate. I am very healthy, I have no blood pressure problems, heart is fine circulation is fine, other than the aches & pains that come with aging I am in pretty good shape considering my weight. I do want to refocus on my health in the new year by refocusing my eating habits which a lot of us are guilty of straying from. If I lose weight in the process good for me, it will help my joints and give me more energy. But I don't complain about my size nor do I not care about it either.

But no matter your size; having pride in who you are as a person reflects in your outer self, personality and the friends you keep and the people who are attracted to you. And if they're only attracted to you for what you look like, how loyal are they going to be when age takes it's toll? If you cant have a conversation with someone 20 years down the road, what's the point?

well said about medications being apart of weight. but you don't need herbal suppliments. not here to promote a company. but i was on weightwatchers for 2 years. lost 77lbs just by changing my food choices and portion sizes. I din't really exercise. i only walked a little. My brother in law saw me losing weight and he joined as well. he lost 100 lbs but he did it faster because he exercised.
I know a lot of men who love larger woman. love to hug and snuggle and touch them all over. I am lucky enough to have found one myself.....except do to some outside reasons we cannot be together. so now i have to find someone else.
There are men out there. you just have to be direct with them. post your size. post full length pics first. they will find you.

Really skinny are not the norm and never will be, I like a lady with curves as this makes them more attractive and sensual and are more of what a woman should look like anyways
AlbertaGirl: This day in age i am finding it harder and harder to find that man that likes my curves, all you see on tv is really skinny woman is that what men really want?

Now I have a different spin on this. How about skinny men? Personally I prefer husky to skinny. They seem so frail like they will break. Skinny because of being athletic is one thing, skinny scrawny is another. I like meat on the bones..oh ya and tall and hairy helps too. Don't like chest shavers (unless professional swimmer), if ya got it flaunt it.

I can hear the "ewwws" right now!

I'm beginning to wonder what people mean by skinny, curvry etc.

Skinny: as in skin and bones no meat.
Skinny: as in lean with muscle, maybe be athletic, but no/very little fat.

Curvy: as in meat in all the right places, but little fat.

Curvy: as in extra padding in all he right places.

Those frail, lean, wiry guys. Those are the guys you want, if you need some one who can do physical work all day long. They might not be the most powerfull, but they are tuff.

well, you could have curves, or have not so much like me, and have to wear belts to keep your pants up. haha. not that i am skinny, just don't have a heck of a lot for hips. I think i would rather have the curves. we are all meant to be different, and i am sure that there are many who appreciate you as you are.

It's a bit like being a thinner guy; it's not what pop culture gravitates towards. I'm somewhat in that boat but I smile a lot and I'm the real deal which again seems to get missed as we seem to be getting polluted with phony, superficial messages and that's the reality of these times. We seem to be in a time of fake-reality. If you laugh into the face of unpleasantness, you truly do become it's master. Ya, I guess you still remain single but at least you are a happier single! I think we associate heavier with unhealthy. Too me it's her face, her smile, her nature, and her ability to come across as genuine and friendly. Certain men really like heavier girls and they tend to be of darker skin and very athletic which appears to be the type of men those thinner girls seem to gravitate towards as well but that's just my observation for what it's worth...

I think alot of women slam slim women to compensate for there lack of dicipline. The statement real women have curves is correct but overweight is overweight. A medical guide will tell you weight and height. I was just in europe east europe women there take better care of themselves without being skinney. Men here are starved for beautiful women because there is just not enough of them so they have to settle. Its unfortunate because alot of these women who say I am comfortable with my weight won't wear a bikini at the beach and are really not happy.

Just my thoughts.

I'll be truthful here and I don't speak for everyone of course but the majority of guys look for a neat slim women just like most women look for a neat healthy male. I was just in Prague for 6 weeks on business. I'll tell you slim is nice, so is acting like a lady and without all this feminist stuff. I am now dating a european and its refreshing.

In response to: This day in age i am finding it harder and harder to find that man that likes my curves, all you see on tv is really skinny woman is that what men really want?

Thats not true There are many curvy women on TV
Big or small there is a lover for all
It comes down to preference Curvy or Skinny or Tall or Short or Gay or Straight
Everyone has a preference some of us are just too dam picky
I guess the truth is I am attracted to Curvy as well as slim women but for some one else there preference might be more selective and zero in on a Cury women vs a Skinny women
