Just got home from having a drink at an out-door cafe. I could see my breath. Summer and fall are definitely over. For all who live in northern climes, dig out those woolen socks.

I hate winter.

Edgar Allen Poe would have loved you.

It's getting cool down here also. Had to dig out a heavy pair of gloves for riding the motorcycle.

Some mornings I've seen mid 40's (f) and at 55 mph it's downright chillygrin

scorpiosiren: really??????????

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more.'

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December,
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; - vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow - sorrow for the lost Lenore -
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels named Lenore -
Nameless here for evermore.

Still toasty down here, y'all wave

A/C's running and fan's on full power, and just being outside can cause sweating mid-day. Beaches are still nice...

VISIT FLORIDA WE NEED MORE TOURISM

I'm not a fan of winter...nor Edgar Allen Poe laugh

Both are too dark and dreary. I love Spring and Summer...seasons of growth and light.

Yes, the weather has gotten quite cool suddenly, and the leaves are changing. Autumn has definitely arrived in all of her splendor...and winter beckons at the door. There are only two good things about winter to me: no bugs outdoors, and that if we didn't have it, we wouldn't appreciate Spring as much. laugh tongue

Nope. That's a state I really don't like...too much traffic congestion from the tourism, and the big bugs. I really hate bugs.mumbling

"Mon pays ce n'est pas un pays, c'est l'hiver". From a French Canadian song saying; my country isn't a country, it's winter.

A little get's lost in the translation.
