Now that this election is done, I suggest we all make efforts to put our differences asside and unite again. I would have said this had McCain won. He is a VERY good man who has given so much.
First thing I will do is make peace with my republican neighbors who so strongly opposed my beliefs .

That will never happen. Hating is easier than forgiving! The bitterness if the McCain supporters is the worse I have ever seen after an election. Disagreeing with an elected official...and hating are two different things! The haters voices are always louder than those of peace!!

Whoever got elected was going to have an almost impossible task to carry out their promises - you guys really do need to move forward now and back your President elect (as you should if McCain had won).

Both candidates promised change.

You all want change.

You all want to feel their is hope of a decent future.

Make your country great again - no need to bicker like little kids.

Just an FYI...and because I do love ya, Ship...I've been vehemently disagreeing and spouting my disappointment. I don't hate him. I can't even hate the father of my children, despite the things he's done since our divorce.

I hate the results of this election, but I don't hate Obamama. I just have no respect for his views of what needs to happen in this country, or for him as the leader of it. I can't show somebody a respect that I don't feel.

I feel you're misguided on this, and I know you feel that I am...but I still respect you. Since one particular person has been stalking me and pushing my buttons to set me off further, I'll be off of here for the rest of the day.

And yes, since I got the news on here, I vented on here...esp since so many were gloating in threads. I've gotten that little fit out of my system, I feel better, and I have a ton to do today.

There are a lot of folks on the other side I like and respect very much. Some I like VERY much.

Too true.....I have known some women get all bitter and twisted and kinda ugly looking just 'cos they ended up hating me!
