princess49503: and there is ye ol' conundrum:

be nice and polite and they think you want to secks them

or

give them the brush off and they think your a rude b****
I'm the only female in every one my classes so 99.999% of the men I come into contact with get the latter, until I know them better.

Probably good advise. I guess men have a hard time reading signals. Growing up in a small town, most people are a little more friendly, but now living in a larger city, the rules ma be different. I think if I was really interested, I would be checking their ring finder and I would linger longer in the discussion. Most of the conversations lasted less then 3 minutes, and then I was off running errands etc.

I know a few guys who never take their wedding ring off when they go out and telling every woman that they are married! Reason: there are many woman out their who are looking for this kind of "relationship". Either for one-nite-stands or as a "bf", which they can control. Than they usually have more than one bf like this!

If nothing else it displays that they where in a relationship and how they themselves treated or acted with a woman.

Always wondered which is worse, having conversation that began with with "A lady friend and I..." or " My ex wife and I..."

Not if I'm interested, but usually I spend more time with them if I'm interested in them. I know it must be hard for men because they are usually expected to make the first move, so they are always trying to gage if a women is interested, or if they are married they don't want attention from single men. How can a women seem friendly, but not interested in the same time? Smile but look at the floor the whole time. What egos if they think that every woman who responds with a hello is after them.

I know what I'm going to do, I am going to carry pictures of my dogs and say hello to every married man I meet and then go on and on and on about how cutes my dogs are, how smart they are and what tricks my American Eskimo dog knows and how funny my little Pomeranian is. This should be fun. Maybe I'll follow them out the door and just keep talking about my dogs and how pround I am of them. LOL
