I find it interesting when I'm out and about that I run into guys who smile and say hello, and start up a conversation and I respond in kind, but throughout the conversation they say my wife.... my wife... My wife.... My wife.... My wife... My wife...
I feel like asking them; So are you trying to tell me your married? Why do they do this? Why should I care about their wife?
A) They need to remind themselves they are married B) They are afraid I'm interested C) They are bragging
Can't answer that...it's not a problem I have had, or I just didn't notice. My main problem at the places I go is having to remind them that they have a wife...which is why I'm off-limits.
Actually (A) is what women would like to think it is.... most women preceive all men as dumb, and when they see a woman they can't think right.... sorry that couldn't be the furthest thing from the truth...(in most cases)
(C) could be why 20% of the men may do that, trying to make other women jealous, because men know alot of women want a man if he is with someone, because they see him as "OK he must be datable" and unfortunitely alot of women love to see if a guy would pick them over someone else or over who they are with...
(B) Is the most likely of the three choices...
I would say it could also have to do with what the conversation is about.. If the conversation is about what (you)/ the woman is interested in.... then beings that the guys are usually not interested in the same things as women, The guys try to relate to you Basically saying( I understand you and where your coming from because) "MY wife" this or that... It's most likely (B) coz you hadn't noticed their wedding ring, or weren't they wearing one??

I didn't notice their wedding ring because I wasn't looking at them in that way. They are usually just light conversations. Can't men tell the difference between being friendly and a come on?
