That depends. If you tell them you "just want to be friends," but what you really want to do is get in their pants, then the woman might not like it because the relationship was started under a false pretense. If you say ets be friends and see where it leads, then perhaps something may come of it.
It is hard for both. I think most women don't like to hurt a guys feelings, but if they are not attracted to the guy it is hard to come up with the right words to not hurt their feeling, but still get the point across. It all about saving face. If you are taken by surprise, this makes it really hard.
That too. I just don't why some women need to be so mean when all a guy was doing was showing interest. My brother met a few scary ones before he met his wife. Now he is happily married with two kids. I have 5 brothers, that is why I can see it from the male perspective.
It is really hard for a guy to come up and ask you if you want a drink etc. and then if you told him get lost, he is left standing there feeling awkward. I rather give them a way out.
I once had this short little guy who had his shirt unbuttoned down to his belly button and he had the gold chains on etc. He had the largest feet that I've ever seen. Anyway, he said "hey babe, do you want to fall in love." I told him, no, I already have a boyfriend. He said, "Well, if he doesn't treat you right you can come to me." Now that is what I call cocky.
oh, another Don Juan. I don't know, when a guy calls me baby, I get a flash back to the 80's when men wore their shirt down to the belly buttons and tons of gold chains around their neck. I wonder is this is the vision most women are getting.
I'd say relax, do worry so much about it. If you are in your 40's or 50's then I would tell you that you better step up the pace, but at 24, what's the rush? I would say if you are attracting them initially than its not a lack of attraction that is the problem. Perhaps you are getting too serious to fast, you're a total slob, a momma's boy, etc. It could be so many different things, so without knowing you nor your life style, it is hard to give you good advise. You seem like a fun loving guy, but you are too far away, you have kids that live with you, and you are shorter than me. Keep looking though, I'm sure you will find a really nice lady who is closer to home, who loves kids, and someone who fits you snugly. I wish you all the luck in the world.

I know of a woman who cheated on her husband, with a married man and then they both divorced and married each other, but they are always accusing each other of cheating and are not happy in the new marriage. The problem is, there could never be trust because neither of them are trust worthy.
Funny, in one string you tell us Americans are war mongers, and on another the American guys are not real men because they don't hurt or kill their wives. I think it takes more strength to walk away then to get even, even children do this. I say good for you pretzelman, you took the high road!
