Apostophe: I owned an I Ching book years ago - but i hardly used it.
A cousin that i was really close too owned one as well - she was so tuned in - i would phone her - she used to live about 2,000 Kilometres away from me - and she would do my I ching for me - always spot on!

She might be inundated by CS'ers soon!laugh

It is so amazing, isn't it?confused

Back in '85, I used it in relation to getting pregnant at the time or not. The hexagram I got was 'Revolution'. Essentially, it stated, go ahead if you want to. But expect complete chaos to occur.

Well, I actually did fall pregnant. Before my son was born, my husband took off with his best friend's wife with whom he had been having a longstanding affair. (The beggar came back unannounced months after my son was born, still had several affairs though!)He said he did not want the child, and wanted me to 'get rid of it'. It took me a while, but I got rid of him instead. Too long a story. My son is now 23, and is wonderful.

So I guess, that reading was spot on, too!laugh

Galactic_bodhi: We cannot change the future until we understand the past...our lives are holographic. We are the insane, doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. That is Karma.

If I were to do a tarot reading enough times, the tarot reading would eventually indicate my future would hold for me, sitting there doing tarot readings to find out what my future is...

Believe it or not I do know what you are telling us.
Gotcha lightbulb on the holographic and karma explanations.
thumbs up

Attention:

To the kind CS'er who emailed me offering their longstanding expertise in using the I Ching, I thank you so much. How very kind of you. I will take you up on the offer to discuss issues as they crop up in using the oracle, and which could possibly be very soon, as tonight's the night.devil (for the oracle, that issigh).

In the meantime, it would be great if you could post your profile again soon, so that I may have a clearer idea of who I am talking to, though I do recall seeing the username over time.

I will be in touch anyway.
