Well, here in CH, in winter ......... they go about their business, as far as I can see. They dont play or court. But they do their excericises ..... everyone goes swimming in indoor heated pools, and do Nordic Walking (thats walking with those two sticks thing). Romance? .... dunno about that. I`m going to a party tomorrow night and will report back about that facet of life here - but I dont think such a word exists in this language here......
But .... lots of people here go to warm places for holidays now .... so maybe their romantic side comes out in the sun?
