I am truly sorry Em has to go through this, being so young. I lost my mother at 14, and even though i lost the most incredible love i was ever blessed to experience, i am greatful i had the short time to share it with her. Em will learn a lot through this hard experience, even with the pain. She is so young, but it is a joy to know she felt love for her young friend. She is very fortunate to have a mother like you, because your love for her, seems like the kind any woman would want to give their own kids.

Sweetie, he was my daughter's best friend. He died Monday in surgery of a brain hemorrhage. They were trying to remove a brain tumor. He was 14.

We were pretty shocked. So many people here were sending thoughts and prayers, and knowing that brain surgery is successfully done all the time, it was just such a surprise.
He lost his dad 5 months ago in Iraq, so his mom is dealing with a lot.

Several people have thanked me for sharing our Adam with CS. That means a lot to us, he was a special young man. Emily and Adam had a special friendship. It was a pure love, young and unfettered even by what they were going through.
Adam refused to go into surgery without Emily's picture. He died with it clutched in his hand.
So, for Emily and Adam, please join me. Post a song, for them, or just something special to you.
