Galactic_bodhi: Contrary to propaganda, CC credits are NOT transferrable to any university of any caliber. Sure you can transfer to U of Pheonix or U of Portland, but try to get into the local State College for Pharmacy and you'll find you wasted 4 years and $12k on credits that for the most part dont do anything...
Now, had I transferred my credits to UP, I could have at least got my BS in Chemistry, which would get me somewhere...but as for any professional degree from a quality U, nope...you'd have better luck polishing a brass lamp.
Not saying Community Colleges arent good for remedial study or trade skills such as welding. I've used them on and off for 15 years now to keep my math skills honed, but overall they're scams...You'd do better to get into online classes with U of Pheonix or something than spend all your time commuting to a campus that will ultimately get you nothing but bills and a transcript that is worth about as much as toilet paper.
This is just in relation to anyone seeking an Undergraduate Degree. If your ambition is to get an Associates, if thats all your ambitions requires, Community Colleges are great...Good luck as a Dental Assistant...
1. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with your transfer credits. Mine, however, all transfered. 2. The Welding program? Thats nothing to shake a stick at. Welding in Michigan is big business
princess49503: I do Know for sure, is that there are thousands of educated workers dying for a chance to use there new learned skills (me being 1 of them). We have some choices : get hired into a company, sit on unemployment, or go into business with other college graduates. The later I already see happening! We have tons of resources & people to create new products. Our future may not be with the big 3 but it's there.
Do me a favor...go find the book:
The Circle of Innovation: You Can't Shrink Your Way to Greatness by Thomas J. Peters, ISBN 0375401571

It all depends on the program you're in. Psychology...great...transfer those...Organic Chemistry? now which series was that? oh, the 4 credits, 2 lecture, 2 lab...hmmm...wheres the fifth credit for dissertation? sorry, rejected...

Wow, the bitterness leaks through. But it isn't surprising. You knew your job market when you entered it, just like I did. If you truly love what you're studying you will follow through with it. I will never become a millionaire but I do it anyway because I love it. yes I owe tens of thousands of dollars in student loans but thats the price I pay do get the job I want.
but if it makes you feel better to spend your life of video games and thinking up excuses....then by all means.......................
gypsykisses: Thank you Sparky...nothing like a late bloomer...
Better late than never. Seriously, we all go or not besed on personal circumstances, beliefs, etc... I didn't graduate until 2000 so I was rather late getting started myself. I actually think I got more out of it than I would have if I had gone right after highschool
Well, I have the final job interview tomorrow morning so I need to get some sleep. Have a great night.

You know nothing about me. So I'll kindly leave your thread with my video games and my excuses...(being as thats how you view me)...FYI I am far more productive than that, as the poems I post here illustrate...keep your sarcasm...I'm out...
