Chris1966: Many people on connecting singles are from other countries and this has me wondering. If you fell head over heels for someone you met on the forums would you travel to their country to meet them? Would you consider leaving your own country to live with them if perchance you feel in love with them? Just curious I am.

If you feel that you really feel comfortable in that person, try to listen in your heart and and think about it many times.but of course before you meet someone you have to give more time to get to know more about that person you want to meet,if he/she are good for your trust and and meet in to there county,to meet someone in another country it takes a lot of harwork and spend much money as well.but as for me if well meet smeone and another country and live with them,well if i can see that i have also good futured there,if what i have in my county i can have it there, i still can work there as i have as i do in my country then thats okay

This is my first post, I have joined this community only a week ago, and I am glad you opened that thread.

I can justify that answer, and through what I read, I am not the only one, because I did it.
That is a true story which took place some twenty years ago, I then met an English girl who was on holyday on the Riviera, I was also on holyday.
This should have been a typical summer romance.
At the end of her holiday, I gave her a lift to the train station, there were wet eyes on the platform and I remember as if it was yesterday this French railway employee asking her kindly to get into the train, as it was already nearly one minute late.
Last sight I caught of her through the train window was of this gentleman in a French railway uniform with a white moustache giving her a big hug when she bursts into tears.
I realised then that I was crying also and that the people waiting on the platform for the next train were smiling at me in an extremely kind way.
Internet did not exist in those days, let aside the possibility of send cheap text messages as mobile phones had yet to be invented.
All I had was a telephone land line in Tunbridge Wells Kent UK.
Having saved every single penny I could, two months later I rang that land line.
Her mother picked the phone and I asked in the worst broken English you could imagine whether I could talk to her.
The answer was a sharp, yes+ something that I did not understand.
When she picked the phone, the only thing I could say was : « I miss you, do you me miss me? »
She answered : « I miss you too »
I then said : « Would you meet me in Dover tomorrow morning ? »
She said : « Yes, I’ll be there ».
On that chilly October morning in Dover Marine railway station, was to start a period of my life, five years, which I will never forget…
