smoky: ..... toilet room? And if so, how/with what? (this is in conjunction with Wedys thread about what do you hang on your walls)
The seperate toilet room in my house is so minute it only contains two potplants. It used to contain a tall yucca but visitors who had a bit too much to drink used it to balance themselves with and it tried to escape out the window and then got ill and died a premature death when I allowed it to live out in the garden where it insisted it wanted to go .......

Isn'y that what "Readers Digest" is for, I always assumed that it was supposed to be kept in the bathroom.
I don´t have a separate toilet, but my bathroom is white and quite pretty I think. Nothing on the walls, but everything matches (blues)and I have lots of free standing shelves with all my toiletries. Plants I love in a bathroom, but like you Smoky, I don´t have much success keeping them alive, so I have searched for and found small fake greenery (which I usually dislike) but these are quite tasteful.
No reading matter, I think only men read when they are doing their daily business on the loo! but I do like other bathrooms I´ve seen with books and magazines.

Now That's a THUNDER-BOX!The most interesting toilet I ever saw was this one up in the Drakensburg mountains of SA. A colleague of mine married a Game Ranger guy ... and their toilet was on the edge of a cliff .... just a small fence to keep you from overstepping the boundary, and no door on the toilet .... but WHAT a view! .. you could see Forever into the distance!

Nein, I have no problem keeping them alive - its just visitors who seem to have a problem with anything that looks like a tree!
I just found the most amazing stuff to grow plants indoors ..... you buy that additive for "indoor foliage plants", and instead of watering them with it, you put it in a spray bottle (diluted to the strength they say) and just spray the leaves! Now I getting a problem with HUGE leaves - but they look magnificent!
Talking about reading matter ..... I put a magazine rack in the toilet for the monthly subscription magazines ... so at least everyone gets a chance to read them before they`re trashed ... well at least no-one can complain about missing magazines they havent read!
